Aiming at the Brazilian dynamic southeastern market, Group Farias, in July 2000, marked its expansion to São Paulo state, acquiring São José Mill.

In the first crop under the control of Group Farias, it processed 450,000 tons of sugar cane, and, because of the quick undertaken actions in the agricultural and industrial areas, it has currently reached the possibility to process 1 million tons per crop.

The company is situated in the city of Rio das Pedras and 15 km from Piracicaba city, therefore, amongst the most traditional "cluster" of the sector. Its privileged logistics to Santos Port guides the production of sugar VVHP and its proximity to Oil Refinery of Paulínia offers one of the most competitive alcohol freight rates of the sector.
