The potable water represents 2.5% of the total existing water in the
world, and of that percentage, we cannot drink almost anything, because
99.7% of it are in glaciers and under the ground, in deep phreatic waters.
Essential for life, the potable water already is depleted in many parts
of the planet. Brazil, with one of the biggest reserves of the planet,
is one of the countries that most waste this resource.
Therefore, Group Farias, with the awareness of preservation and ecologically
correct work, operates in such manner to carry through the reutilization
of waters in its mills and processes, which means, works in closed circuit
in the cleanness of the sugar cane, re-uses condensed water (extracted
from the evaporation of the sugarcane juice) in its productive processes
and destines residuary waters for irrigation and fertilization of its
crops, thus providing a clean water economy and contributing for the
health and preservation of the environment .
