| Project Clean Sugar Cane: |
|
The industrial sugar cane must be processed free of impurities, whether
they are vegetal or mineral (dirt), and for this, the traditional process
guides the washing of this sugar cane, before the milling.
Although efficient, this technique contributes for a bigger use of water.
In the direction of little intervening with the environment, and to
better conserve it, Group Farias has been developing the Project Clean
Sugar Cane, to bring to the production areas the raw material free of
impurities.
The goal is to work with vegetal impurity below 5% and mineral impurity
below 1%. In this direction, the Project has been training, since 2004,
the involved staff in the harvest and transport of the sugar cane, in
order to allow the suspension of the activity of " washing of the
sugar cane" in 70% of the crop
